My name is Biva Zaman. I am a student at City College of New York taking FIQWS Fairy Tales and Retellings. I created this site to be a digital portfolio for my writing in that class.

I am currently 18 and my birthday is in August. I plan to be a Mechanical Engineering student and work in design engineering. I am from Bangladesh and moved to NYC when I was 7. My family consists of my mom and sister and we live in Queens.

I have always been passionate about writing and in high school, alongside my classmates, I created an award winning creative writing magazine and even won one of Scholastics writing competitions. While I don’t plan to peruse it as a career I find writing to be a fun hobby and a class to look forward to.
